Reflect is a modern software product for configuration of tailored applications for data exploration and data visualization. Applications can be configured utilizing components such as tables, list boxes, plots and charts to view aggregate data and detailed data respectively. In addition, features such as search, filtering and highlighting are available to explore selections of data. Reflect also contains an advanced self-service concept that allows users to select parameters and approach to exploration and the application then selects an appropriate graphic interface. The user does not need to express what graph to use or know how data is connected in the underlying data model, as this is intrinsically managed by Reflect.
Any application configured in Reflect has access to all integrated and curated data. There is no need to extract a subset of the available data to create a focused application, rather the unbiased way data is stored enables reuse of data for different purposes. The fact that the most granular data always is available enables users to explore and visualize data using both aggregated and detailed views and allows for a seamless way to move between them.
Reflect is built on a new paradigm on how to effectively query and retrieve information from a datasets in a way that exploits the existence of direct and indirect relationships in the Capish Ontology. As an example, a search for a value, could potentially not only retrieve all the information units containing that value but could also be configured to retrieve all directly or indirectly related information.
Reflect is a modern web application utilizing the latest technologies. At the core of Reflect lies a graph database engine that processes the data available as an instantiation of the conceptual information model.
Reflect is currently available as a stable beta version for selected users in collaboration projects. Continuous development of Reflect is performed at the Capish head office in Malmö, Sweden.
