Capish presents at the 16th Annual Pharmaceutical IT Conference, 20-21 September 2018, London, UK
Dr. Peter Tormay will give a presentation entitled "Data Transparency - How to eliminate internal data silos for streamlined drug development" on the first day of the conference. The presentation will establish the key drivers of data transparency and how it affects data access, data quality and ultimately data reuse within clinical and healthcare data. Peter will then look at how data transparency, data quality and thus data reuse can be supported by an ontology-based graph database based on a common information model built on a common terminology.

Visit our poster at PhUSE Conference in Edinburgh
Capish will be represented at the PhUSE Annual Conference 2017 in Edinburgh on October 8-11th by Peter Tormay and Catharina Dahlbo. The theme of the annual conference this year is "Digital Innovation in Healthcare". The conference starts on Sunday evening with a poster session where you also can meet Catharina Dahlbo by the poster PP07 "Experiences of Managing Quality Registry Data for Effective Exploration".
Dr Staffan Gestrelius’ presentation will provide some insights into how the use of a conceptual ontology for a consistent approach to data improves stakeholders’ ability to derive value and answers from their data. Using a real-world example from a Swedish Quality Registry, he will talk about how disparate data, that was not standardized and as such difficult to penetrate, was moved into an easy to understand ontology, that allowed access to all available data in context. During the talk, it will also become evident that data can be evaluated at different levels, moving effortlessly from granular patient data to district, regional and countrywide statistics on healthcare and applications can be designed to accommodate different perspectives of different stakeholders.
